To be eligible for a Student visa (subclass 500) in Australia students must demonstrate sufficient funds to cover their tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of their stay.
International students holding a Student Visa may be allowed to work a limited number of hours during their studies, in accordance with the conditions of their visa.
Students should not rely on work during their studies as a means of supporting themselves or their family. Work undertaken while studying is intended to supplement a student’s experience, not to fund their cost of living or tuition expenses.
